Fundamental Analysis Update for an Air Transport Concept

The Challenge

The Ministry’s (BMVI) air traffic concept states a need for constantly evaluating the developments in the German aviation market and their effects on its international competitiveness. In view of the constantly and rapidly changing air traffic environment and framework conditions, BMVI asked HPC to update their previous analysis.

Tasks Performed

• Updated the market and competition analyses
• Assessed the market position & strategies of selected airlines
• Assessed the market position of German airports, considering the completion of hub airports in Europe and the Middle East
• Modified existing and developed new measures to be undertaken by the Ministry

Benefit

The follow-up report elaborated by HPC updated and re-evaluated essential content of the initial “Fundamental Analysis for an Air Transport Concept by the German Government".
