Customs Workshops on Air Freight Issues

Customs Workshops on Air Freight Issues

The Challenge

With this project, Frankfurt Airport responded to a change in customs regulations that apply to the so-called 1:1 referencing for the provision of consolidated import freight from the second half of 2020. They asked HPC to develop a standardised customs process for the import of consolidated air freight for Frankfurt Airport and to organise workshops with the stakeholders involved.

Tasks Performed

  • Workshop preparation (interviews, outlining target process, select participants, defining methodology and procedure)
  • Workshop moderation
  • Created the process specification (BPMN diagrams, role and process description, collaboration and data exchange, etc.)
  • Presented interim results
  • Gap analysis

Benefit

HPC prepared the workshops and designed a process specification coordinated with the stakeholders and provided Fraport a sound basis to meet the new regulations.
