Construction Supervision for a Ship-to-Shore Crane for DCT Gdansk

Challenge

When extending the capacities of Terminal T2B, DCT awarded HPC a contract for stage supervision while manufacturing one additional ship-to-shore crane at Liebherr's in Ireland. HPC also supervised the crane’s erection and final commissioning in Poland, plus the acceptance tests and handing-over procedures.

Tasks Performed

Stage supervision during fabrication in Ireland
Pre-shipment inspection, testing and loading supervision
Unloading supervision at DCT's in Poland
Inspection visits during erection, final commissioning and acceptance tests before hand-over to the Client
Inspections throughout the crane's warranty period 6, 12, 24 and 36 months after hand-over

Within this project's scope, HPC ensured that the cranes were manufactured according to DCT’s technical specifications and met the expected quality.
