Pepel Port Iron Ore and Bauxite Loading Tariff Benchmarking

Challenge

The Client commissioned HPC to undertake a benchmarking study on the export loading speeds and tariffs for loading of iron ore and bauxite for Pepel Port in Sierra Leone.

Tasks Performed

• Identified suitable benchmarks (i.e. samples of suitable international ports)
• Reviewed volumes and loading design of selected ports
• Checked tariff reviews of benchmark ports
• Recommended tariff pricing to the Client, Client targetting and loading terms

Benefit

HPC delivered benchmark tariffs and performance indicators against regional and international competitive ports with similar volumes and facilities.
