The National Ports Master Plan’s overall objective was to provide a strategic proposal for the integrated development of Egypt’s commercial ports. The Master Plan considered each port's competitive advantages and forecasted future demand until 2030.​

Tasks Performed

  • Assessed existing situation and development perspectives​
  • Evaluated economic growth perspectives for Egypt and its ports​
  • Market and competition analyses for the different ports’ markets​
  • Commodity forecasts for the individual ports till 2030​
  • Assessed technical & operational capacity and development needs for required future port, terminal and berth capacities for different development alternatives​
  • Evaluated required investments & financial profitability of development proposals​
