Challenge

Asian Development Bank (ADB) supported the Government of Georgia in conducting a feasibility study for developing an integrated logistics center in Tbilisi, designed as a Public-Private Partnership initiative to facilitate private investment. ADB selected HPC as the technical and commercial consultant.

Tasks Performed

  • Review product distribution in Eastern Georgia and analyse transport costs
  • Forecast demand for consumer goods in Georgia
  • Assess the selected site’s technical and logistics aspects
  • Define facility requirements and development phases
  • Recommend public-private financial arrangements
  • Evaluate the facility's overall impact

Benefit

With their assessment, HPC supported the Georgian government in making informed decisions about the development of the logistics center.
