LPC Options Refinement and Simulations

Challenge

Lyttelton Port Company (LPC) commissioned HPC to perform a quay simulation and develop an implementation concept for several terminal technology options. Numerous factors, like vessel size development, quay crane allocation, vessel schedule deviation or the number of available berths, must be considered to reach a realistic image of the terminals’ capacities and extension requirements. With a quay simulation, HPC identifies LPC's quay extension planning stages and timing.
