KPI Platform for Operational and Financial Analytics

Challenge

This project involved the design and implementation of a comprehensive business intelligence (BI) platform to support the monitoring and management of several container terminals. The platform provides more than 100 operational and financial KPIs and was developed as a multi-level management solution to address new organizational structures and reporting requirements across the business. The solution was designed to support decision-making at different management levels, ranging from daily operational control within the terminals to aggregated performance reviews at senior management and C-level on a monthly and yearly basis. It also covered the specific requirements of key organizational units, including container turnover, staffing planning, engineering, and terminal development. In this way, the platform creates a consistent and transparent information base across functions, responsibilities, and time horizons. The project included both the conceptual design and the technical implementation of the platform. The result was an integrated analytics platform that strengthened performance transparency, improved management reporting, and supported more effective operational and strategic decision-making.
