HHLA IHATEC Pin-Handling mR Project Administration
Challenge
HHLA receives co-funding from the IHATEC (innovative port technology) program financed by the German Federal Ministry of Digitalisation and Transport (BMVI). HHLA commissioned HPC to carry out the financial administration of the research project. This project is concerned with developing an automated device for the presently manual processes of handling the pins of railway wagons that fix the containers on the wagon. HHLA Container Terminal Tollerort was the terminal for developing and testing the device. Automated pin handling will increase productivity at the railway station and work safety.
