Construction Supervision for three Mobile Harbour Cranes

Challenge

HPC had previously overseen construction services for a new Liebherr LHM 600 mobile harbor crane ordered by TPA Terminal Puerto Arica. Following this success, Puerto Angamos and TPA expanded their fleets with three more units (two for Puerto Angamos and one for TPA) to enhance operations in Mejillones and Arica. Puerto Angamos engaged HPC once again to supervise the construction of these additional cranes at the manufacturer’s facility in Germany. HPC’s role ensures each crane meets the technical specifications and contractual benchmarks, maintaining high standards throughout the process.

Tasks Performed

• Perform inspection visits to the manufacturer's site in Rostock/Germany
• Carry out fabrication quality assurance
• Monitor, advise and report on deviations during fabrication
