The Challenge
TGN intended to procure three (3) new RMG for their terminal in Mejillones. They will use them on a newly built automated stacking yard to handle copper concentrate exported by vessel. Landside operations of the copper concentrate will be in special containers to be emptied for ship loading through conveyor belts.
Tasks Performed
- Elaborated detailed technical specifications for the automated RMGs
- Evaluation of bids from various manufacturers and clarifications with the bidders
- Organised conferences with TGN and the bidders to clarify the offers
- Assisted TGN in contract negotiations with the selected bidder
