Protests have paralysed the container terminal of Port Sudan for several days. Earlier, on 21 September, an attempted coup d'état had failed, as reported by the Sudanese government. The German government has welcomed the Sudanese government's commitment to continuing the transition and reform process in a statement.

Shipping Services OÜ, Saaresalu OÜ, and HPC Hamburg Port Consulting GmbH from Germany and Plisk Ltd from Georgia have won an international tender for the Maritime Transport Agency of Georgia financed by the European Bank for Reconstruction & Development (EBRD) and supported by the Georgia Investors Council Secretariat.
Dr Felix Kasiske takes on new responsibilities at HPC. To support the transformation path taken and strengthen international sales, he started his new task as a general representative for the company's global consulting business on 20 May 2021.
