HPC contracted for Port Community System (PCS) initiated by the Port Authority of Thailand
We have recently been awarded a project for the development of a port community system (PCS) initiated by the Port Authority of Thailand. Together with our project lead partner SCP, the leading provider of IT solutions in Thailand’s port industry, HPC notably contributes to the design, specification and procurement of the PCS.
Our Challenge/Project Objective
Together with SCP, we are elaborating a balanced PCS solution that best serves the port community stakeholders of Bangkok and Laem Chabang Ports. HPC takes care of including the proven standards and design solution from the industry into the project conception. In this way, we promote knowledge transfer between European ports and Thailand’s port community.
Benefit to the Client
Thailand’s port community will benefit from the new PCS in multiple ways:
- Easy and efficient exchange of information
- Improved visibility along the supply chain
- Enhanced productivity
- Increased satisfaction of the ports’ customers through higher service levels
Ultimately, with the Port Community System, HPC/SCP provide a valuable contribution to strengthening the future competitiveness of the country’s port community in the global supply chain.
