"Keeping our Global Maritime Highway Moving" is the motto of the Port Houston Appreciation Day 2020 taking place on 12 November. Port Houston is the largest port in foreign tonnage in the US. At the virtual broadcast you will hear how local and global ports are keeping the world economy moving. Lars M. Greiner, Head of Bulk Market at HPC, will discuss the current state of ports with other panelists.
A new online event for the African port and terminal industry is about to be launched. Under the motto "African Ports, Aligning Investment Opportunities & Operations" the first Virtual Ports & Logistics Summit will take place on 25 November 2020. Hosted by the Euro-Institute for Information and Technology Transfer in Environmental Protection (EITEP), the virtual summit will promote activities for infrastructure development in Africa. HPC will participate as content partner and will delegate speakers and panel hosts to enrich the discussions with HPC perspective from more than 40 years of consulting in the African maritime market.
The Electric & Hybrid Marine World Expo Conference goes online! This event will bring together the extensive expo and conference community for a two-day Virtual ‘Live’ conference, taking pace between 19 and 20 January 2021. In his presentation "Are Ports prepared for electric Shipping?" Nils Kemme, Partner at HPC, will talk about the status quo, future plans and challenges in the electrification process from the shore side perspective. He will present examples from ports and terminals globally, focusing on his experience from the Port of Hamburg.
The Smart Digital Ports of the Future (#SDP20) conference brings together a large number of global ports, terminals and the entire supply chain to drive the industry forward in digitization.
